Your ancestor, Anna PUNDZAK if not naturalized and lived pass 1940 would have to file an Alien Registration Form.
Our first ancestors married within same region, religion (with few exceptions) but for sure same language. Family went to family so even if your ancestor did not come thru Ellis Island but the other family members might have. I would check in the church they married and had their children baptized. English version words on the bottom, type a surname and in town 00 (zeros) to get all listings for a particular name. The spelling has to be the way it is in Slovak.
Look in in Slovak Pride for your surnames.
This is an interesting site but now only for genealogical research.
The PUNDZAK and PUNDZAKOVA (ova just specifies female) list only in area code 054 in Stropkov and Turany nad Ondavou. but only in Slovak so use
If your ancestors married in "old country" than the villages would be within 10 miles radius of each other.
One Step/gray form Mihal KRAJNAK, Mihaly KRAJNAK and Mihaly KRAJNYAK arriving in 1896 thru EI.
