I don't have a Lucille Punneo in my GedCom yet, but it's such an unusual surname I would guess there is a connection. As for the PUNNEO surname, I wasn't sure at first, but now I'm leaning toward it being french descent. MY line:
Sarah Jane Punneo b.1853 Fulton Co. IL;
James Punneo b.1822 Warren Co. OH;
Jeremiah Punneo b.1788 NJ (he married twice)
That's all I have confirmed right now, but the unproven "rumor" is that Jeremiah is a descendant of a Jacques Pinneau of Lyon, France. I will check into that story when I get some time, but it's not proven for now.
I have seen PUNNEO misspelled several ways: Punno, Punco, Punnco, Punnce, Ponneo, Puno, and Punnio. That makes for lots of page-flipping in the census books. good luck.
