Thomas lived to be 101 years of age and died in Gympie in 1890. Mary died in 1901 in Gympie. Thomas' brother, Andrew and his wife, Brudget Scanlon had come to Australia in 1854 aboard the John Fielden and settled in Fortitude Valley, Queensland.
