Phillip Purcell, Australia- California 1849

I am trying desperately to locate Phillip Purcell, son of Patrick and Margaret Purcell nee Taylor, he was born in Sydney in 1813 and married Bridget Barrett in Sydney 1847, he had two sons, Patrick Joseph 1848 and Phillip 1849.
In 1849 with his brother in law James Barrett he became a 49er and went to California chasing gold, James returned to Australia but Phillip stayed and in 1851 he was earning about $20 per day on the gold field and was located at Twin Folks, Eldarado, California.
This is the last Phillip was heard of and I would desperately like to contact some one who may have details on this man and to solve the mystery.
