Shelby, Thanks. Today, there is a Purcell family that lives in Vincennes. They own a flower shoppe/greenhouse. Joshua Younger, ggrandfather of the "Younger gang" boys also lived in Hampshire County, West Virginia in the 1780's before he came to KY from Kent County, MD along with my ancestor John W. Younger. Charles Younger, Joshua's son, married Sara Sullivan Purcell. I believe her parents were:

Sarah Sullivan Purcell was supposed to have been born in Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, Kentucky in 1782. Thomas Purcell who was married to Elenor Sullivan was in Lincoln County, Kentucky from 1780 to 1783. Later he is in Nelson/Bullitt County, Kentucky. Since the marriage for Sarah Sullivan Purcell and Charles Younger appears in Clark County, Indiana in 1807, there has been a lot of confusion about who her parents were. However, it would appear that Thomas and Elenor Purcell are the most likely to have been the parents. Contact me for further information.

Daniel Sullivan who was killed by Indians in Indiana about 1790 was a brother to my ancestor Elenor Sullivan wife of Thomas Purcell. Supposedly their father was Daniel Sullivan though I have never found proof of it. About 20 years ago I collected a lot of information on Daniel Sullivan. I was given the information that Daniel, James and a sister who was married to Zadock Wright were the only known children of the elusive Daniel Sr. I have proof of another being my ancestor Elenor. I will attempt to email you separately, but if your email address has changed I hope you will get this post. I would very much like to share and compare notes with you. Judi
