This is what I have so far for some of my PURDUMS,
Please be aware that some of this is from personal knowledge
and most is not yet documented.
Thanks to those of you who helped me and I hope I helped you too.

1.Benjamin PURDUM b.1785PA d.11-2-1865 Greene co.(possible John-Thomas PURDUM and Tamer(Tamar) HIBBS(dau of Jacob HIBBS and Elizabeth LACY(LACEY)
m.Sarah LONG b.1790VA on 6-3-1811 (OH?)(dau of ?)

2.Jonah PURDUM b.1821-26OH d.1860(OH?IA?)
m.Mary Ann(May)BELL(e) dau of ?(possibly James BEL(e)and?
b.1817? d.1879? m. in 1848

3.Sidney Dennis PURDUM b.10-9-1858OH d.1946IA
m.Martha Ann FREEBORN b.1861IA d.1937IA
m. in 1882IA

4.Orley Dennis PURDUM b.10-28-1897-8IA Appanoose co.
d.2-7-1986IA Des Moines co.
m. Hazel Mary KIRBY b.1904IA d.6-10-1975IA Davis co.
these two are my maternal grandparents and I knew them well
and even some of their siblings.
They were complete opposites as he was very tall,over 6 ft 4" and my gramma was about 5ft5".

They had 11 children two of whom died very young,
Harold Dean b.1933IA at about age 8 months and Phyliss Janet(Jeanette)b.1935IA died at abt 21 days old. Three of their older children have passed as well the oldest Evelyn Nedene b.1924IA d.1977NM, Stanley Eugene b.1938IA d.1989IA,
and Patricia Ann b.1940IA d.1992IA,

as well as their grandchild,
my sister Mary Ellen STOGDILL KELLY b.1946IA d.1979IA
and one of their Great-Grandchildren,
my son, Sean Michael ALLEN b.1968IA d.1988AZ.
I miss them all very much.

Much of what I do have is from knowing some of these people and from my own memory and my Mom just telling me the details of the family.

about folks I never knew and I do appreciate it, as well as the many treasured photos of so long ago Thank you for those
it was the first time I had ever seen a photo of my Great-Grandmother Martha Ann FREEBORN PURDUM.
