My question is on Thomas Purdum, don't know birth, marriage, or death date. However, he m. Tamar Hibbs, b. c. 1769. Tamar (Hibbs) Purdum's parents were: Jacob Hibbs and Elizabeth Lacy. Places of residence of these people were: Bucks Co., PA; Loudoun Co., VA; and Fayette and Green Cos. PA.

Was this Thomas Purdum the Thomas Purdum or Purdom who was in the Revolution, possibly from the state of Virginia. I want to learn anything I can about these people. I may have stumbled upon a clue after 20 years, as to who is the father of my g grandfather, Jonah Purdum. Jonah is an unknown name in the Purdums I have researched. But Jonah is a common name I find (also the name Aaron) in the Hibbs family. There is a book, HIBBS, FARNSWORTH, AND RELATED FAMILIES, on the Hibbs clan. TIA for any help. Barb
