Martha Purdy m. Joel Wheaton in Delaware Co NY

I'm descended from, and desire to know the ancestry of, Martha Wheaton, born about 1828, who married Joel Wheaton in Andes, Delaware Co. NY, I believe about 1846. Joel was born in Otsego Co. NY in 1796. Joel and Martha lived in Maonsville Delaware Co. Ny in the 1850 census, and by the 1860 census, had moved to Addison, Steuben Co, NY, there living with them, Enoch Mack, a constable. Soon after, Martha was widowed, with several children, including Lydia, my great grandmother.
I know that Martha had siblings, Harriet, who married a Purse, Lydia, who married Isaac Davis, Louisa, who married Lorenzo Foster, a brother Darius, and that Martha's mother was Joanna. All this is from Joel's 1812 pension file after his widow Martha applied for a pension, I believe as late as 1878 (I apologize I don't have my records with me, so functioning off of memory).
I would very much like to know who are the parents of my dear great great grandmother, Martha??? Thank you for your reply - Andrew
PS - I wonder if perhaps Martha Purdy's father an 1812 war vet and friend of Martha's husband, Joel Wheaton. It would seem sensible, in such circumstances, if Joel would marry Martha, 28 years younger than him, if soon after her father's death, to secure her survival in life. Again, thanks in advance for responses.
