       Surveyor of Customs, Port of New York, Alderman from 10th Ward, NYC. first Democrat named to Board of Supervisors from the County of NY.
       He was the Executor of the will of Charles Augustus 7 Purdy his brother but died before the will was probated.
       Obituary in the New York Times. New York Surrogate 83-10. Buried in Plot 21, Rural Cemetery, White Plains. Burial services from St. Stephens Church NYC 10 Jan 1866, 142 East 29th St. They lived at 83 Ludlow St. NYC.
