Seeking information on Martha E. Howe who married John Peter Oeland
and when he died married an unknown Purdy - probably in Greenville, SC.
Martha E. Howe: parents: Nathaniel Howe, died as prison in Elmira, NY
during Civil War. Died in 1864, is buried in VA Cemetery in NY.
Mother: Rebecca Ann Bright , daughter of Culvin Bright. Rebecca was born in July 1841 in SC. She did not remarry as far as can be determined.
Rebecca lived with her daughter Martha E and husband John Peter Oeland
in the 1900 US Census, but is not found in the 1910 US Census, it is believed she died between 1900-1910.
Seeking information on daughter Martha E. Howe Oeland who married a Purdy.
