Hi, thanks for the response
I have Thomas Wesley b 10/9/1828 in Halifax VA, m 4/3/1851 in Rockingham Co to Martha Ann Baker, he died 1/19/1911 in Rockingham Co NC. from research my mother, brother and I have done over the years we have that his father was Elijah Perkinson who married Elizabeth Denton. He d 1/19/1842 in Guilford Co NC. I believe his father was Harbord Perkinson who married Susannah Hood Brooks, I have their children's names, he was b in VA and d in Timble/KY. My mother has the book "Good Morning Mr. Featherstone". I feel like Harbords father was Seth Perkinson. But we can't find any proof of this. I had emailed the son of the woman wrote the book but they have not been able to prove it either. Family tradition was that the Purgason name was changed around the time of the Civil War. Do you have other names from the Rockingham County area that you are researching?
