Visited the cemetary again today and did a complete survey.
The marked graves are as follows:
John Purgason, Born MAR 17, 1820, Died DEC 2, 1890.
R.B. Purgason, JAN 8, 1844/ MAY 30, 1910
Sarah F., wife of R.B. Purgason, June 7, 1845/ Dec. 12, 1905/"She was the sunshine of our home".
Mary Lou Wilson, June 21, 1877/May 9, 1909/"Come Ye Blessed", "Of such is the kingdom of heaven".
There is a foundation-stone for a maker adjacent to Mary Lou, but the maker itself is missing and I could not locate it.
There are at least six other graves, unmarked except with fieldstones; one of them is adjacent John Purgason. I theorize it is his wife, Elvira Purgason's grave.
See an additional posting for info. on Rufus Broome Purgason and Sarah Francis Duke Purgason.
