Hello,
I don't know that the Perkinsons of VA/1700's-1800's are related to the Perkersons of NC/1700's or not, although it is a possibility. I, too, have seen the name spelled many different ways. The farthest back I've gone is to Joel Perkerson, who was a Rev. War Soldier from NC. Were any Perkinsons in VA during the Rev. War?
Brett
