Looking for info on Delma Purington. She would be my husband G-Grandmother. His Grandfather was William Perington from Albany, WI. He was born 9-17-1908 and died 1-1-1974. It was said he never knew his father, and that his mother was Delma Purington from Albany, WI. Rumor was she was not married, and just changed the letter in the last name to "e". Do you have any further history that would help me? Albany's history says that a Harry M. Purington was one of their earliest settlers. The 1873 landowner listing also mentions a C. Purington, J.M. Purington as well. I also found a Achilles Puringtun listed. Maybe Delma stayed with an uncle and had her son there to hide the shame.
