Hi Kathleen, We've recently started tracing my husband's mother's family - originally Purinton's from Boone County IA. Here's the lineage. Aaron A Purinton (born in Wales) married Mary Ellis (born in Canada; d 1858). They had 4 children: Samantha Ellis (m Benjamin Putnam 10-11-1854); Judson; Malvina (m Gorden Needham - his 2nd wife); and Lewis Ambrose d 12-25-1912 La Junta CO (m Ida Needham 4/23/1872 Boone County IA. Ida was his sister Malvina's step daughter. Lewis and Ida had 9 children. So far just know 3 names: Emma, Ruth Ellis Vivian (m Royal Dugger), Mary Irene (m Walter Augustus Hardin on 10-21-1901 in Lamar CO). Mary & Walter (d 11-12-1918) had 7 children: Charles Worth b 1-23-1903, Ida Ruth b 2-16-1905, Donald Wayne b 8-14-1907 d 1910, Lewis Walter b 10-2-1909 d 11-8-1919, Blanche Leota b 3-22-1912, Homer T b 9-22-1917. Any sound familiar?
