Bev,

It has been a number of months since I worked on this research, so if I repeat myself please understand.

I purchased a book called " Keith " Collected Genealogies of Keith, Keath & Keeth Families in North America. Compiled by The Keith Genealogy Book Project. Page 169 of this book shows Maria Purkey 1815-1846. She appears to be the daughter of Benjamin and Margaret Keith. She married John Purkey in 1837, had Benjamin, Margaret, and Jane. The main focus of my research has been to locate the parents of a Martin Keith ( 1838-1869 ). My thinking has been that his parents may have died when he was an infant and he was raised by a family member or neighbor, but I have been unable to find any documentation to support the possibility. Please refresh my memory on the information you have.

Greg
