Bob, How ironic that i've come back to one of my first messages posted with regards to searching out Purkey ancestors. When i made a reply weeks ago i had no idea what i was working on or how to go about it. Of course i'm still confused but do feel strongly that part of my family tree is the same as your family tree. I may have even tried to contact you by email earlier and on other forums. Sorry if it's overkill. Even more sorry if you no longer visit these places or have access to this email account!!! Anyhow, I've since learned that my ggrandmother's name is Mary C. Smith. She married Thomas J. Purkey. His father is David H. Purkey. His father is John D. Purkey, Jr. And, finally, his father is John D. Pirkeypile, Sr. So all in all, i guess the odds that there were 2 generations of Purkey boys each marrying a Purkey was a strange guess but right-on-the-money anyhow. Sincerely, Chris Notify Administrator about this message?
