Roscoe was b. 1903,Hancock Co., TN to Asa Purkey & Mary R. Shaw. In the 1930 census for that county his wife was listed as Hassie, age 24; & dau. Mary R, age 2. Roscoe also had 2 older sisters: Verdie Bell, b. 1898? who married John Morgan & Hassie, b. 1902. Who did she marry?
If anyone has any info on this family I would love to hear it. I am researching the Shaw family, & have hit that brick wall, so I'm looking for new leads on the family branches. Thanks so much!!! Jen
