I found the information for a William Stinehelfer and Elizabeth Purkey by typing in Crawford county history on my search engine. They have a marriage database. William Stinehelfer married Barbara Purkey 12/25/1876 by Rev John Kaas.
I think we are following the same trail. I am also a descendant of Christopher Steinhelfer. His son Henry had a son David F. who is my great grandfather. Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
