This is very interesting because my great grandfather is Plummer Purington. His father was Abraham B Purington. Abraham must have have had both a brother and a child named Plummer.

I have also found a record of a Phylander Purington. He is the child of Abraham B Purington. He must be named after the original Philander Purington--he died a the age of 8.
