Do you know when these Puringtons migrated from the Northeast to N. Carolina? Some Puringtons originally settled in the Halifax area of Nova Scotia...interesting that there is a Halifax Co. in NC. I have a David H. Purington b. abt. 1805 in Maine, but married a girl named Jane from N. Carolina. They settled in Missouri by 1844 and had 4 children there before moving to Lawrence KS in the 1850s. I found an LDS record for a David Purington-Jane Bradshaw marriage in Jan. 1843, Cherokee, NC...Wondering if these are "mine".Thanks for any help
