I am the offspring of the group that moved to Akron Ohio.
My Grandmother, Julia, was married to my Grandfather Frank Purse. They had three children: my father Robert Frank Purse was born 5/29/1920 and he had a brother William born in 1922 and sister Catherine born in 1924. My grandfather Frank was killed in a motorcyle accident in 1922 and my father was in a side car and was critically injured. My grandmother was pregnant with Catherine at the time and returned to Pennsylvania with William for a time so family could help during her pregnacy. After the baby was born and my father recovered from his injuries she returned to Akron. My father, mother (Gertrude Roberta Black) and my sister and brother moved to Santa Clara California in the mid-1950's and sometime in the late 60's the rest of the Purse family moved to Austin Texas.

All of the original Purse children from Frank and Julia are now dead. Catherine died recently, in May 2008.
