There is a Duncan R Stivender listed in the 1850 Census For Dale Co.He Was born in 1817 and was from SC.He was 33 years old in 1850 married to Margaret 31.Their Children were Frederick 10 Arthur 8 Aiken 7 Malsey A. 5 Female) Indiana 2, Seems as though that is where the name Duncan comes into the family He must have been Gabriel`s Wife`s Brother.and that may be why Gabriel moved down to Dale Co.so his wife would be close to her brother.it all fits into place.I just wonder which family came to AL first?I Know families followed families in the move south and west.some body give me some feed back on this matter.Tome this all seems logical.
