Since William Henry Purswell married a Calhoun - my grandfather, Sam, who was his son, also married a Calhoun (Willie Mae).
There are Calhouns who live in Eufala (or did 40 years ago), but my grandmother, Willie Mae, was from North Carolina and was distantly related to John C. Calhoun, the American Statesman. Anyone know what the connections between Purswells and Calhoun families were at that time?
