Purtles in Illinois, where are you?

I'm interested in the descendants of Peter PURTLE who was in Fulton County, Illinois in 1832 as he served in the Blackhawk war at that time. Haven't been able to find anything else about him.

I noticed ther has been no action on this forum for about a year. Does that mean that all the PURTLE descendants have their ancestry all complete, actually completely given up, couldn't care less or have all unhooked their computers ?

I would like to talk to someone with Illinois roots since it seems that all of Peter's siblings stayed south or in the south west. Les
