Hi Lori (and happy Easter!) Your information about David and Matilda is correct. I have access to quite a bit of information about the Purviance children who came to Australia. However, what I am missing is information about their family in Ireland, and how Matilda's father Thomas ties into the Purveyance/ Purvines cousins who emigrated to the USA and Canada. The information I have gleened about the descendants of Jon De Purviance stops short of a positive connection. I would also like to know the relationship (if any) between my Gordon/Purvines connection and a marriage between Charles Gordon and Mary Purveyance. These people had children named Joseph, Matilda, Catherine and Mary - and the first three of these christian names are also reasonably prominent in my research as well. Charles was born (apparently) in Ireland in about 1816 and emigrated to Ontario, whereas my David (son of a Joseph) was born in 1819 and emigrated to Australia. The question is: did brothers marry sisters? Fascinating. Are you able to shed any light on any of the above? Does your family tree disclose anything which would assist me? Thank you for your assistance to date. Regards Mark (from Sydney, Australia)
