From the History of Washington co., Pennsylvania, with Biographical Sketches of many of its Pioneers and Prominent men, by Crumrine

James Gilmore Esq, accupied the farm now owned by James G. Strean, Esq., a short distance southwest of Washington Co., Pa. His son John Gilmore studied the law at Washington, was admitted in August 1801 and moved to Butler, Pa., married a Miss Purviance and there practiced law.

Any connection?
