My greatgrandfather was David Sidney Purvine of Pontotoc Mississippi. Please contact me if you are still interested in knowing more about him, and I will direct you to my father who not only has a number of photos of David Sidney but also the letters that he wrote to his first wife Jane during the Civil War. My father may be the only grandson of David S Purvine still living, and he has more information about other family members.
