The last time I attended a reunion was in Kansas City, 2000. There was talk of a reunion the next year and they held election for officers. We all paid our annual dues for the monthly newsletter we had been receiving in the past. The woman, elected treasurer, collected our money and wrote down our addresses. That was the last most ever saw of either. I tried to contact the president and other members of the association but never received a reply. It is a shame such dishonest people were put in charge of the association.
Several people have contacted me over the past few years about their disappointment with the association. So, I have decided to become proactive. Lets not ever send any money again to an irresponsible treasurer, but maybe start a Yahoo 360 website or something similar. How about PurvianceFamily@yahoo.com It would be great to at the least, get the names, addresses, and emails of those interested in keeping in touch or looking possibly forward to a reunion. I would gladly compile and maintain that list and website.
