Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
My husband descends from the Anna Purviance and Samuel Woods line and I have Anna's siblings listed as Elizabeth (b. 1765 d. Dec 1849), Margaret (b. 1786), Martha (b. 1784, d. 25 Dec 1794), Eleazor (b. 1782), John (b. 1768, d. 7 May 1792) and David (b. 14 Nov 1776, d. 19 Aug 1847, married Mary Ireland), all the children were born in Rowan Co., NC. Their parents: Lt. John Purviance III (b. 7 June 1743, Ulster Province, Ireland, d. 4 Aug 1823, TN) and Mary Jane Wasson (b. 20 March 1742, Chester Co., PA, d. 1810)David Purviance was a minister in Bourbon Co., KY and I think that he performed the marriages of his sisters. I have more information, if you would like to have it.
