Dear Kay,

My daughter and I have been trying to research my Great-Great-Grandfather's history. We have yet to find the missing link to any Purviance listed.

May I ask, if you don't mind, where you found Stuart Purvines' book, and where the organization he formed has their reunions. We also live in Missouri and would love to find more Purviance family.

My Great-Great-Grandfather's name was Nathan Maxson Purviance (b. abt. 1841 Steubenville, Jefferson Co., Ohio. d. 1899 Perry, Perry Co., Arkansas).

He served in the 98th Ohio Infantry from 1863 to 1865. He Married Emma Belle McPherson (d. 1919 CA). His children were Arthur (b.1872 d. 1872/73), Lulu (b. 1873), Walter, Iamata Cora (b. Feb. 17, 1877 Oswego, KS d. Oct. 11, 1961 St. Petersburg, FL.), Alice Pauline (b. Mar. 11, 1879, Oswego, KS, d. Dec. 19, 1973, Elmhurst, DuPage Co. IL), and Nathan (b. June 30, 1883, d. Jan. 1968, Nez Perce Co. ID).

Any Information and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ms. Daryl Johnson
