He married (1) LILLIAN L. HAMIEL. He married (2) MARY ELIZABETH COBEAN January 21, 1899.
       
Children of CHARLES PURVIANCE and LILLIAN HAMIEL are:
2.       i.       MYRTLE MARY PURVIANCE, b. January 13, 1889, Iowa; d. December 15, 1957, South Dakota.
3.       ii.       JAMES THORNTON PURVIANCE, b. August 05, 1891, Iowa; d. November 27, 1977, Iowa.
       
Children of CHARLES PURVIANCE and MARY COBEAN are:
