Thank you for the answer to my inquiry. This is certainly the Puryear I was trying to locate. My interest is in Dorothy Faye Puryear. My aunt was adopted in 1944 (born 1943) by my grandmother and step grandfather and her mother was listed as Dorothy Faye Pittman, which I now know was her mother's maiden name. Had she not listed the child's last name as Puryear, I would have never gotten as far as I have. The info you relayed to me however, did not have any information on any of her children or Elsie's children. Dorothy would have been born about 1917/18 as she was 25 when she had my Aunt and she lived in Beaumont, Tx. My Aunt is just trying to find out who her father was for medical reasons (she is listed as illegitimate on the birth certificate). She has no interest in making any claims on the Puryear family. Since Dorothy was married so many times, I have no idea where she lived after 1945. I did find that a Dorothy F. Palmer died in 1981 in Harris County, TX. Until I get the death certificate I will not know if this is the same person.
If you can give me any more information on this person I will greatly appreciate it.
