Thank you very much. I do have quite a bit more information about Peter Preer if you are interested. He had several children besides Sarah, and they are listed in teh 1880 census. I visited his grave in Columbus a few years ago, and I was able to get more information there about the family as well. Just let me know if you want me to send you the details. I had always assumed Susan and Peter were brother and sister, but the 1880 census in which she said both her parents were born in Georgia throws me off. Thomas was born in Virginia, and Mary in Vermont - surely she would have known that. Also - Mary would have been getting a bit old to have more children. I imagine its a mystery that may never be solved. Is there definitive information about Thomas and John's brother Peter's older sons - who they married and their children? Thanks again for your response.
