OK Gotcha!"Prayer" sounds like "Prear" with an extra Southern drawl.I got the "Purr Year" from instructors at Murray State in college because the town of Puryear, TN is close and the town name is pronounced "Purr Year". Didn't like that much, but gave up arguing with them. My uncle spent most of his working life in Memphis, TN and he spelled it Puyear (missing first "r").They named a street for him in Memphis and I understand the street is pronounced "Pu Ya".
