Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have already told me a lot more than I knew. I can fill in some of the blanks on Earl, Ethel, Bessie and William (Dad) but need some time to gather the correct info before posting. My maternal family line is Johnson (great-grandmother - Annie Johnson) and I have a Johnson family history back to early 1700s in PA. Will have to research Elizabeth to see if she is related to Mom's family. Funny how government records aren't always correct. Dad always celebrated his birthday on 3/13 not the 18th. Aunt Bessie said the doctor was late in filing the birth with the state. Will also have to see if anyone can tell me where to find Chapman cemetary. I grew up in McLean Co and never heard of it. Clara Higgs Puryear died of a ruptured appendix. I was about a month shy of 3 years old and do remember watching her loaded into an ambulance and being taken to O'boro - Daviess Co. Hospital where she died. Thanks so much. Will gather all the info about William Elzy Puyear's 2 wives and 4 children & 7 grandchildren and get back to you for your records.
