Joy,

I also have the John Parry who m. Margaret Pusey as the son of Edward Perry/Eliphat Smith. Spelling was much looser back then so it's not too surprising to see the spelling vary. I show some variance in John and Margaret's descendants.

There were several Perry/Parry families in the New Castle/Chester areas during the mid 1700's - you may have to consider that someone has merged people from two families into one (ie. the family history you have may not be accurate) - what were its original sources of information?
