From Gwen Boyer Bjorkman's transcriptions of the (Quaker) New Garden Monthly Meeting records (Chester Co., Penna.)

"Page 110 John PERRY of ye Township of Marlborough in ye County of Chester in ye Province of Pensilvenia, and Margret PUSEY Daughter of Caleb PUSEY of ye same Township of Marlborough aforesd. ...16, 9m, 1737 ... at Londongrove Meetinghouse..."

Among the close members of the family to sign the right-hand column are Margaret's father, two siblings, her grandmother, and three cousins. No Perry's at all among the 54 witnesses. This is circumstantial but certainly supports the contention that he was from out of town.
