Interestingly enough, I live in Chester Co., PA, as well.
Just where and when Dr. John H. Bush was born is my query. My best guess is that he was born ca 1770 but the positive identity of his parents is unclear.

He first appears in 1790 in Newberry/Laurens Co., SC when he witnessed the Will of his grandfather-in-law, John Blalock. Blalock had come from Albemarle Co., VA.

Dr. Bush married Mary Rowland probably about 1793 and most likely in that area of SC. The couple's first known child was born in 1794.

Mary Rowland Bush's parents were Rev. Reuben Rowland and Anna Blalock. Both were from Albemarle Co., VA.

Dr. Bush left SC ca 1800 and although he owned land in Caldwell Co., KY he resided in Sumner Co., TN from 1800-1810. In 1810 he finally moved his family to Caldwell Co., KY. About 1812 his wife died and in 1815 he married a woman named Elizabeth.

Dr. Bush died between the 1830 census and an 1832 court proceeding which removed his 2 orphaned sons from their mother and placed them with other relatives.

His children with his first wife were William B., George, Sally Rowland, Alexander, John B. and Anna (twins), Palemon Cage, Delia Ann, Reuben Rowland and Evaline. His second family included sons George and James J.
