Robyn, I have been researching the Pusey family in WA (my husband's family). I have a Newman Nankivell Pusey b 1902 Perth (unusual name, so is this your father?) ours is the son of Isaac Dobson Pusey b1865 and Nellie Ethel Vann dau of Walter & Martha Vann formerly of Surrey England. Isaac and Ethel m 1898 but divorced in 1911. Ethel then marr Wm Laurance Kelly and lived in Aukland NZ. Isaac & Nellie had 5 children -
1)Ida Daphne Pusey b 1897 died 1898 age 1
2)Gwendoline Joy Pusey b 1898 married George N Stuart
3)Milton Dobson Pusey b 10-5-1898 marr Nellie Wigg 1922, div 1947.
4)Newman Nankivell Pusey b 1902 (different birth date to yours) m 16-8-1933 at Christ Church Geraldton to Freda Jean Hammond
5)Irene Abigail Pusey b 1903 married J Davies

Isaac was one of 12 children born to William Dobson Pusey and Sarah Ellison. Wm was actually born William Dobson, the son of Thomas Dobson and Elizabeth Pusey, he adopted his mother's name when he joined the Army. He came from Reading, Berkshire Wm came to Australia with the 51st Regiment of Foot 28-3-1840 on the Runnymeade bringing 200 convicts to Hobart. The Runnymead then went on to Perth on 28-4-1840 bringing some of the troops, including Wm. Wm was stationed at York, married at Toodyay (then called Newcastle)where he was attached to the Police Station, he married on 3-8-1845 to Sarah Elliston Later he was transferred to the 96th Reg. He later left the Army and settled in South Perth - one of the earliest families in this region. William and Sarah had 12 children I can probably give you a lot more, including a photo of three of the Pusey brothers, William, Isaac and Walter if you contact me direct.
