Pusey, Pettit, Highfill in Ky. & Mo.

Seeking parents of William Pusey (b.ca1825 Ky) and his sister Elizabeth Pusey Highfill/Highfield (b.ca1824,Ky). Both lived in Pendleton Co. Ky and married there.
William mar. Lucy Pettit (dau. of James Pettit and Milley Angell Pettit Doan) in 1848 and in 1852 they went to Scotland Co. then Lewis Co. Mo. with her family. William & Lucy had children: Bathsheba, William Jefferson, James I, and probably Sarah & George. Lucy died about 1870-2, and Wm. mar. Francis/Grace Smith(?) in 1873. They had a son John b.1874. Wm. & wife are in the 1900 Mo. Census. Son, of 1st marriage, William Jefferson Pusey mar. 1876 in Knox Co. Mo. to Jennie Nichols (dau. of Benjamin Jackson Nichols and Elizabeth Harrison).
William's sister Elizabeth Pusey mar. Jacob Highfill/Highfield and lived with their children in Pendleton Co. Ky at Morgan. Jacob's siser Elizabeth Highfill mar. 1838 to William Angell Pettit, older brother of Lucy Pettit. They were the only Pettit branch that stayed in Ky.
The only clue I have to who their parents could be is the marriage of James Pazey (Pewsey) in the next county in Ky (Harrison) in 1821 to Rebecca Clemmons, and the mar. of widow Rebecca Pewsy to John Porter in 1830 Pendleton Co. But I have no documents that tie the two generations together.

Anyone know of these families? I am trying to make a connection to the Quaker Pusey families of early Penn. Would be happy to share what I know. Thanks, Linda
