I give up. None of the other folks have a source or reference. Period.
The treaty is available on many many sites. So sourcing it is ridiculous.
I am not going to spend an hour going back and finding the deed book and page number for the sale of land, testimony, etc. I have that on my site, and have posted the information completely in other posts on genforum and ancestry.com, so I am not going to repeat it here.
As for the letters, I can't tell you which box and file, ect they came from, I already said that. All I know is they are available in Washington D. C. at the NARA, and what they say. Likely they are coming from Indian Affairs, because they were letters to Washington 1828-1830 during all the political uproar that almost drove the nation to a civil war. I would have to check if that was the State dept or dept of Interior in 1830. I am thinking it was still the State deptartment they corresponded with. The dept of war has documents online, but none of these.
The Land case files for the Choctaws aren't indexed by a number like the other land files at the NARA they are by name and they have an index available at the NARA. The contents of these files often contains letters, testimony, and land descriptions. They aren't on microfilm either. They are actual documents. My friend found the Pushmataha file empty, but some of the information in the Apuckshunnubbee file, as they widows were trying to claim the same land or something like that.
That said, I can prove the information exists and I already told you where it can be found. That is more than any of the other folks have done.
