While I have been able to trace many relatives related to the Puskas side of my ancestors back to the 1700's. There is another branch in eastern Hungary near Kantorjanosi I believe that has been more difficult. My Great Great grandmother named Elisabeth Puskas (born in 1828) was married to a Ference Trencseyi. They lived around Nyirtet, Apage, and Patroha. A professional search group finally found records on Elisabeth Puskas in Napkor (A Roman Catholic
church) that said her parents were Meinhard Puskas (Helvetic religion) born in 1800 and Julianna Apagyi born in 1804 and married in Feb. 19, 1928. There was a notation of possible nobility but it was very unclear. Meinhard's father was a Laszlo Puskas born appx: 1770? Julianna Apagyi's parents were A Nicloas Amagyi born in 1765 and a Juliana Simonyi. Puskas is a fairly common name in Western hungary and records are much easier to find. If anyone has a ancestor named Puskas they are interested in that came from
places with names like Talapatka, Haromhaz, Magyarlak, Mariaujfalu, Szentgotthard, Rabakethely, Kisfalud, Orfalu, or Farkasfa in western hungary I may be able to help you, since I have ton's of family from there. Good luck in your search.
