This is all very interesting to me. I'm doing some research for a friend who is a descendant of John Pudney/Putney through Joseph to Eleazer and down to David Putney, and the family of Southborough, Mass.

I hadn't read the info on the PITNEY connection. I am curious, however, whether Henry Cooke was a son of the Pilgrim Francis Cooke...is this true? My friend will be elated if this is true.

I haven't loaded the info I have to our website yet...but will do so soon. I am related the the Newton Family of Sudbury, Mass. This family intermarried with Putneys (Abigail Mixer is a descendant, as is Sophia Ames, who married David Putney).

Any help is most welcome...thanks so very much!

All the best,
Matthew Lipsey
