Thanks, Susan-can you cite sources? I'm still concerned about the following info from "History of Salem" part of "New England Family Histories #1, 1600s-1800s" available at genealogy.com:

p.21
"John Pudney (Putney) was a husbandman; married Judith Cook Nov. 18 1662...children 1.John born Sep 28, 1663;2. Judith born Nov 24 1665, married Daniel Mackentier; 3. Johanna born June 29, 1668 married William Shaw; 4.Samuel born Oct 13, 1670, of Salem in 1723; .....

John Pudney(2) married Mary Jones Jan 1 1683-4; died in the winter of 1712-13;..children 1. John born Aug 17, 1685;...2. Mary born April 25, 1687, married Ebenezer Snow...3. Samuel born July 13, 1689; husbandman; married Martha Gloyde Nov. 25, 1717;; living in 1726; ...."

The way you laid it out makes sense, I just need to verify that the above entry is wrong somehow.
