I am looking for a Putney family living in 1920 and 1930 Wyoming Census in Sheridan County, Wyoming. Percy Putney and wife, Augusta Putney and son, Charles B. Putney, b. ca 1916. This family were neighbors and friends of my mother's family in Sheridan during her childhood and her teen years.

She remembers "C.B." escaping from his piano practises by running down to her house and reading a book, until the neighborhood would hear his mother calling loudly, "C.B. it's time to come home to practise." Mom (93 years old now) believes "C.B." became quite proficient and may have played in the Metropolitan Opera orchestra. She never knew what happened in later years, and after seeing his name on a program in her album, remembered these few facts.

The 1920 Wyoming census states his dad, Percy, born in Wisconsin. and his mother, Augusta b.in Iowa. Percy's father born in England, Percy's mother born at sea. Augusta, father born in Ohio, her mtoher born in Iowa. Percy was an accountant and a bookkeeper in the 1930 census. In 1920 he worked at the Acme Coal Camp.

Does anyone know anything about this family? or about C.B. Putney, the musician, and my mother's friend from childhood.
