Thomas Pye and his wife Isabelle (Isabella) changed their names to Clarke in 1821. They became Thomas Clarke, Isabella Clarke, William Clarke, and Thomas Clarke. This happened in Davidson County, Tennessee. Two of the sons, moved later to Washington County, Tennessee. Thomas Pye was my ggg grandfather.
