Hello Linda,
I haven,t got a Andrew Pye as yet but I also have not researched this far forward. eg I've being doing research in 1800s and late 1700s. David Pye married Jean Arnot 21-Oct-1791 Kinglasfie Fife. Son of above John Pye born abt 1801 is the line I come from. He married Mary Stevens Abbotshall 4-Nov-1821. Son of John and Mary James Bain Pye married Elizabeth M'Cleish 12-April-1847 Edinburgh Midlothian. When Elizabeth died James Bain Pye came to NZ in 1863 aboard the Ganges. 5 of their children died in Scotland and 4 came to NZ with their Dad. I have found that Pye is also under Pay and Pie and its all the same family.
Have just looked at the OPRs and I do have a Nelly Pye born to David Pye and Helen Wishart 1781 Abbotshall, to far back for you but David Pye is brother to James Bain Pye. Do you have access to Scottish Births and OPRs? If not maybe I can help there. My home email address is
tonyandelaine@xtra.co.nz
Regards Elaine
