Hi Marc....
Did a quick look and cannot find anything on Charles Pye father of William.
Did find this:

THE
CORNWALL REGISTER ;

THE PAST AND PRESENT STATE OF
THE 209 PARISHES,
FORMING THE
COUNTY, ARCHDEACONRY, PARLIAMENTARY DIVISIONS,
AND POOR LAW UNIONS or CORNWALL:
TO -WHICH IS ADDED,
A BRIEF VIEW OF THE ADJOINING TOWNS
AND PARISHES IN DEVON,
FROM HARTLAND TO PLYMOUTH.
BY JOHN WALLIS, A.M. F. S. S.
i
VlCAll OP BoDMIN,
AND
OFFICIAL OP THE ARCHDEACON OF CORNWALL.
BODMIN I
PRINTED BY LIDDELL AND SON.
1847.

Rectors, 1626, Lockett. 1643, Kendall. 1718, Hicks.
1 "80, "William, only child of Charles Pye, Rector of Truro, ob.
1834, SD. 79. He, and his predecessor, Hicks, held Blisland
nearly 116 years. See Bodmin Register, p. 212. 1834, Pye,
resident.

Not sure where connection may be.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Clarene
