HI again, I was trying to input some information that you had given me and I am stumped. The information That you gave me was:
My Birch line starts with James born in Clitheroe (1822) and his with Bridget Bowker also born in Cltheroe (1836).
Their first child Rose (1867) was born in Clitheroe but then the family moved to Heywood where the couple had a
further three children Joseph, William (my g-grandad) and Edward. James was a shoemaker and they lived on Green
Lane. If you have any info/connections with my James I would be very grateful.
The only info I have of John Thomas Pye (1875) is that which I have gleaned from the census mainly that has a 6 year
old boy he had already lost his mum (Mary) and lived at 57 Shaw Bridge Street with his grand-parents John & Isabella,
his father Thomas (widower) his uncle John, his brother Arthur and his cousin Esther Alice Boothman.
By 1891 Thomas had married Betsy and the new family now lived at 41 Brownlow Street. John Thomas was 16 and
his occupation was a loomer. There was also a new addition to the family two year old Emma. In the 1901 census the
family lived at 11 Peel Street.
Are you saying that James Birch married Bridget Bowker? I have Bridget Bowker marrying John Walker in 1857. According to my information:
